PADI IDC Palau
To enter the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) course, you must
Be a certified PADI Divemaster and be in good standing with another training organization.
Completed and logged at least 100 dives as documented by your logbook.
Be 18 years old.
Submit medical clearance for diving signed by a doctor within the last 12 months.
Have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months.
IDC Course Overview
During the course you’ll learn how to apply the PADI System of Education and Practice.
Dive Industry Overview, General Standards and Procedure, The Role of Media and Prescriptive Teaching, Legal Responsibility and Risk Management, PADI Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver Course, Adaptive Teaching, PADI Continuing Education Philosophy, Business Principles for the Dive Instructor, Adventures in Diving Programs, Specialty Diver Courses and the Master Scuba Diver Programs, Rescue Diver Course, Divemaster Course, How to Teach the RDP.
5 Diving Theories: Physics, Physiology, Equipment, RDP and ERP, Skills and Environment. *Emergency First Responder Instructor Course (EFR)
Open Water Teaching Development and Confined Water Teaching Development *Confined Water Skill Development
Time Requirement: You will need 12 days for both the IDC and IE.
Fish’n’Fins will run a Pre-IDC course (included) to prepare you for the IDC. The IE takes place one day after the completion of the IDC. There will be both a Chinese translator and a Japanese translator.
